D.I. Luke Raven's Third and Final Instalment!

Hi everybody, and welcome to my latest blog — four months later than I'd planned, but as I say to all my readers, my discipline with these blogs is less than perfect. However, I come to you with big news. For the first time since I started publishing my own novels, I will be releasing two — yes, that's right, TWO! — in one calendar year. Hallelujah!

As many of you know, in March of this year I released What Doesn't Cure You, my sci-fi action horror that so many of you have been enjoying. Normally, a March release would mean my next book would come out a year later, but I was intent on getting the third and final part of my D.I. Luke Raven series out much sooner than that, and I'm so excited to say that Black Heart of The Raven will be released on Amazon this Friday, 28th November 2025.

For those of you that have read the other two books — Pale Face and The Raven (part 1), and The Hawk and The Raven (part 2) — I promise you, you won't be disappointed. You'll get to catch up with a lot of your favourite characters again, see what happened to Raven after that heart-stopping finale at the end of The Hawk, and also meet his next, deeply disturbed adversary. If you haven't read the other two books (why not?), don't worry. You can jump right in at Black Heart if that's your preference because all the links back to the other two books are fully explained throughout. I'm really proud of the way this one has come out — it puts the finishing touches to a series I feel extremely attached to, and in my view, gives Luke Raven the ending he deserves. I also absolutely love the cover art which was created by the very talented James Merner, who also happens to be my son-in-law. Lots of people have been commenting on the cover since I uploaded it last Wednesday afternoon, and rightly so. It perfectly captures the essence of the book and also makes for a stunning backdrop for my book stand. Check James out for tattoos and other art (Instagram)

In terms of where you can see me in the coming months, my next event is at the Striking Events Comic Con which will be held in the Angel Centre, Tonbridge on 7th December. I'm still putting together my tour dates for next year which I'll announce shortly, but I can confirm that I'll once more be at the UKCGF Plymouth Comic Con 14 Feb, UKCGF Exeter Comic Con 7/8 March, and HorrorCon Sheffield 6/7 June. There'll be lots more to come once I get everything arranged, so watch this space for updates.

My next standalone horror novel is already in progress and I'm feverishly working away on the plot. I won't tell you any details just yet, but I am aiming for a first half of 2026 release.
